‘Chris’s Story’. A Windrush Day Film

This powerful three minute film tells the true story of Chris, a British citizen of the Windrush generation, still fighting for justice.

Launched for Windrush Day, this film shines a light on the human cost of a scandal that continues to harm thousands while the government simply pays lip service, makes hollow promises, and ignores the plight of the victims.

The Government’s own investigation concluded that the single biggest reason this scandal happened is because the Home office employees didn’t know their British colonial history. But despite recommendations to learn it, nothing has changed. And it continues to not be taught in schools so the same mistakes and trauma are being repeated and are continuing to destroy lives.

@Justice4Windrush, co-founded by actor Colin McFarlane and singer Annie Lennox, is fighting for 15,000 victims across 65 Commonwealth countries.
